A conversation with Charles (“Chaz”) Ruggieri, Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Department of Physics and Astronomy, on his use of open educational resources (OERs) in lieu of the standard textbook in introductory physics courses. Together we will discuss the student-centered rationale for making such a change, including findings from Chaz’s recent study on student attitudes toward both textbook and online resources.
